Better Notion Web Clipper ("the Extension") is committed to protecting your privacy. This privacy policy explains how we handle your data when you use our Chrome extension.

Data Collection and Use

The Extension collects and processes the following data:

• Web Page Content: When you clip a page, we temporarily access the page title, URL, and selected content to save it to your Notion workspace.
• Notion Authentication Token: We store your Notion OAuth token locally in your browser's secure storage to authenticate with Notion's API.
• User Preferences: Settings like your default Notion database are stored locally in your browser.

Data Storage

• All data is stored locally on your device using Chrome's storage API
• No data is sent to any servers owned or operated by the Extension
• Data is only transmitted directly to Notion's API servers when you save content

Third-Party Services

The Extension integrates with:

• Notion API: To save your clipped content to your Notion workspace. Please refer to Notion's Privacy Policy for how they handle your data.
• OpenAI API (Optional): If you enable AI summaries, content is sent to OpenAI for processing. Please refer to OpenAI's Privacy Policy.

Data Sharing

We do not:

• Sell your data to third parties
• Share your data with advertisers
• Track your browsing activity
• Collect analytics or telemetry data

Permissions

The Extension requires the following permissions:

• identity: To authenticate with Notion via OAuth
• storage: To save your preferences and authentication token locally
• contextMenus: To add "Save to Notion" to right-click menu
• scripting & activeTab: To access page content when you choose to clip it

Data Deletion

You can delete all stored data by:

• Clicking "Logout" in the extension popup
• Uninstalling the extension from Chrome
• Clearing your browser data

Security

We implement security measures including:

• Storing sensitive data only in Chrome's secure storage API
• Using OAuth 2.0 for Notion authentication
• Never transmitting data to servers we control

Children's Privacy

The Extension is not intended for use by children under 13 years of age.
